Highlights

What you came for.

  • Summit of Pisang Peak (6,091 m)
  • Upper Pisang and Manang valley
  • Views of Annapurna II and IV
  • Fixed-rope alpine climbing

Overview

A striking pyramid above the Annapurna Circuit, with a long snow ridge to a 6,091 m summit for climbers with some alpine experience.

Pisang Peak rises above Upper Pisang on the Annapurna Circuit. The upper slope is steep and the final ridge is exposed, so it is not the easiest choice for a first climb.

You acclimatize on the Circuit before moving to high camp, and return via Manang and Thorong La if time and conditions allow. This itinerary descends after the climb.

You should be comfortable with crampons, ice axe and fixed ropes. A climbing permit is required.
